Building a partner-bank questionnaire pack that survives legal review

Correspondent banks expect consistent answers across AML, operational resilience, and outsourcing. Here is how fintech teams assemble a pack that holds up.

Desk with laptop, charts, and coffee during analysis work

Bank questionnaires recycle themes: beneficial ownership, sanctions screening, critical vendors, business continuity, and how you handle customer funds. Answering each form from scratch invites contradiction. Maintain a master narrative with version dates and named owners.

Attach evidence, do not only assert. If you claim quarterly board reporting on financial crime, include the latest redacted minutes excerpt or dashboard cover page your board actually saw. Banks notice when language is vivid and attachments are absent.

Map outsourcing carefully. Many Taiwan fintechs rely on cloud hosting, KYC vendors, and payment processors. List contracts, exit clauses, and which controls remain with you. Ambiguity here slows onboarding more than almost any other section.

Keep Traditional Chinese and English versions aligned. Dual-language packs often drift after updates. Assign one editor who reconciles both before the pack leaves the building.

An independent assurance review of the pack—essentially a dry run of how a bank analyst will read it—catches soft claims early. The goal is not perfection; it is a coherent story with documents that match the sentences.
